Prints Charming
He’s Baaaaack!
School is around the corner, so what better time then now to create some staple pieces for their Fall wardrobe? Fabric prints nowadays can be quite cheesy and just typical. When I ran across these prints, I fell to the floor. I had to get them! I love that the animals on the fabric gives off a more modern vibe. Also, this fabric is 100% organic cotton so it’s great for your children’s skin. No rashes or breakouts here!
You can use this fabric to create jogger pants, like I did, you can make shorts, and you know what? These prints would make AWESOME button-up shirts for our little boys! I know you wanna know where you can get your hands on it right? Well, there is no other place other than GlamFabrics. I’ve written a blog post about this shop in the past. You can check it out HERE. The owner is extremely nice. Like I said before, I don’t know her personally but, I wish I did. The shipping on whatever you order is quite fast.
But all I did was fold the fabric in half and cut out the shape of some sweat pants my son already had. I cut 2 front pieces and 2 back pieces. I added 2 inches to the leg and 2 inches to the top. I stitched each leg individually. I then turned one pant leg right side out. I placed the pants leg that was right side out, inside of the other pant leg and I stitched the crotch together. Once that was done, I turned the pants inside out and I created an elastic casing to both legs and waist. Insert the elastic, stitch the opening closed, and you are finished! It really wasn’t hard. Literally took me and hour. But like I said, I’ll have a tutorial soon.
So here is my son’s look. He was so excited to get back in front of the camera.
