Say Hello to My New Brother!

You all know how much I love my Brother ScanNCut! I’ve been using it so much more lately because I’ve noticed how much it’s been elevating all of the projects I finish and leaves them all looking a lot more professional than if I had cut pieces out by hand!

This year has been such a whirlwind but Brother finally came out with a new ScanNCut - just in time for the holidays! Say hello to the ScanNCut DX SDX85! This amazing little machine can do so much and is an amazing price that’s perfect for any home crafter looking to play around or even start their own Side Hustle! They’re so user and beginner friendly machines that you could be moving along on your first day after walking out of your favorite mass retailer (or receiving it in the mail)!

I let my husband try mine out when it came in and he loved it so much that he now has his own at our house that he loves to play with!

I was so excited to open this machine up to see the lime green staring back at me! This new line of machines comes with 4 fun, youthful, and modern colors to choose from: Lime Green (SDX85); Maui which is a sort of mauve-y color (SDX85M); Sky Blue (SDX85S); and Charcoal (SDX85C). We all love our aesthetics and these new machines make them even more Instagrammable because who doesn’t love to share a fun pop of color?!

Now for some of the features (because isn’t that the point?!):

This machine can effortlessly cut materials up to 3mm in thickness. We’re talking anything from papers to vinyl to foam, felt, and other materials. The auto blade makes things even easier so you don’t have to adjust the blade or change material settings!

This handy little machine also features 251 built-in designs and 5 fonts (that’s just what’s downloaded onto the machine!) but you can head over to Brother’s Canvasworkspace software that’s free to ScanNCut customers to create and convert even more designs to use including your favorite fonts, characters, and other illustrations.

Included with your machine are some of the basic materials you’ll need to get started like the blade and blade holder, spatula, stylus, and a couple more items. It also includes the standard 12”x12” tack mat but did you know that this machine could also cut designs from a 12”x24” mat?! It’s true! Just grab yourself a 12”x24” tack mat, select the setting on your Canvasworkspace software, and you’ll have the ability to cut out huge designs perfect for signs, wall hangings, and more!

I honestly wish this machine would’ve been out when I first started sewing and crafting. The user-friendly features and amazing quality would’ve had me leveling up right out of the gate! If you or your loved ones are crafting fans, don’t sleep on this one!
