My Button Collection
Why Buttons?
I’ve always loved buttons. Since I was a little girl, I would collect them and just admire how something so small was so beautiful. When I got into sewing, I have to be honest, I absolutely hated the button options that were available to me. I felt like I had to go into some hole in the wall shop, hundreds of miles away to find somewhat of what I wanted. My friends and I would talk about the quality of our current options and how thin and cheap the buttons were. Why in 2020, were the options so old and outdated?! Honestly, the designs doesn’t seem to have changed since I was kid…and lemme tell you, that’s too damn long. Since having frustration of rarely finding options that fit my playful, colorful style, I stopped sewing with buttons all together. Made me sad, but I truly hated them. I started this project last year. I knew this was a problem that not only I was having, but many of my color loving friends were having as well. So week after week, I would try different things to create what I wanted and nothing worked. One day, a lightbulb finally went off in my head and I finally found a solution. Fast forward several months later, we have buttons.
What will this range look like?
This buttons collection will speak to my more playful, color vibe. I love to create looks that make a statement, so these buttons will most definitely do that. They will act as attention grabbers and the perfect accessory to a garment that may need an extra oomph!
Who were they made for?
Buttons were made for people who not only love color, but people who create their own lane when it comes to their style. These people aren’t afraid to make a statement when it comes to expressing themselves with how they dress. These buttons were made for people who exude confidence and comfortable with who they are on the inside and out; they understand that we were all created differently and thats what makes us all so unique.
When can they be purchased?
Now! You can purchase them HERE and if you are are a small brick and mortar and would like to carry my buttons, email me. I’d love to hear from you.
