My Sewing Machines + Recommendations

Hi everyone!

So one of my most frequently asked questions is what sewing machine do I use and which ones do I recommend. I’ve used quite a few different ones and I think I finally nailed it down. Today I’m sharing my top 3 and why I like them.

Brother LS590

This machine opened up the doors to all of my dreams! I bought this machine for only $10 at a a yard sale and it works wonders. Many of the garments you see on my website was sewn by this machine. If you are just starting out, I would highly recommend this one. This one is budget friendly and the price point allows you to decide whether or not sewing is for you.

Brother HC1850

This was my first upgrade within the Brother brand. The price is mid-range and very affordable. The HC1850 model gave me soon many firsts. This machine gave me a peek into the world of embroidery. It’s not a full on embroidery machine, but it allowed me sew letters on towels and my husbands button-up shirts. This machine was also my intro into a self threader. My previous machine didn’t have this machine so I loved that on this one. This machine also introduced me to being able to control the speed of my machine. I really like this feature. This is a great feature for beginner sewers. One of the other features that I loved about this upgrade is the fact that it has a button that pulls the bobbin thread up to the plate. No need to manually pull it out like my previous machine, its automatic.

Brother Stellaire Innov-is XJ1

This is my dream sewing machine! This is the upgrade of all upgrades! This machine does it ALL!! I absolutely love this sewing machine. And yes, it is the most expensive. Its a sewing machine and embroidery machine all in one. This machine has all of the bells and whistles but my most favorite thing is that this machines threads the needle at the push of a button. Its the simple things. LOL! Also, this was the machine that allowed me to discover that machines can actually sew on a button. It actually has a feature on the machine where you can sew on a button. Yep! Another feature that I absolutely love is that you can thread a bobbin thread automatically and still sew at the same time. Its such a dream. I would honestly recommend this to anyone who wants the best of the best. This machine is great for someone who wants to get into embroidery and enjoys the art of it. Trust me, its beautiful to watch.
