City Chic
Today I am channeling my inner Carrie Bradshaw! I made a different style of tulle skirt this time compared to the one that I previously posted that you can check out here. This skirt is more of circle skirt style. It has a lot more movement and when making one, it's more tedious because it uses a lot more tulle. If you are interested in making one, the tutorial is located at the bottom of this post.
For the underlining, I chose a satin fabric and purchased about 2 yards. As for the tulle, I used about 8 yards. And instead of a thick waistband that I usually like on my skirts, I chose to do a skinnier waistband which gave it a more delicate feel. Tulle skirts are great and so versatile. You can wear them to a wedding, a party, brunch or tea party with the ladies. If you follow me on Instagram @CHEAPBUTCHIC, you'll be able to recognize this shot. Leopard heels with a tulle skirt is such an unexpected accessory but gives the outfit a more edgy type look. So like a said, tulle skirts are absolutely versatile and should be in your closet.
