Fall Corduroy Suit
Fall is here! However, it doesn’t necessarily feel like Fall. It’s still warm out, so what’s the best way to transition into Fall? I say a fun colored suit! YEEESSS!!!! Are you with me?!
I found my inspiration and immediately got to work! For my suit, I used a few yards of corduroy fabric that was gifted to me by a client of mine and for the lining, I decided on some shantung fabric. I love the texture it gives.
I love that when I posted this picture on instagram, everyone assumed that this was going to be the final look. LOL! So funny! You all know me better than that! I almost ALWAYS have to amp things up with my looks.
The ruffles at the bottom of the suit jacket and skirt adds a fun touch to the suit. It gives it a more youthful feel and it’s not something alot of people would think of when creating a suit. So, I thought, why not?!
When finishing the inside of the suit, I learned a technique that my mom taught me. My mother went to design school when she was in college so she has been passing her knowledge down to me. No need to for design school if I have her! LOL! But I got so many requests to see the inside of my suit so here she is, up close and personal.
To ne honest, this suit is fitting for Spring or Fall. Just change up the way you style it and Boom! Don’t be mad if you see this styled again for Spring. So for Fall, I decided to wear “all black errythang“; black top and black booties. The booties were gifted to me from Charlotte Russe. I’m so obsessed with them!
