Chocolate Satin Bomber Coords
I saw this photo of this girl on Pinterest and just fell in love with the oversized look of her bomber jacket. I knew I had to have one, so I decided to take this season’s hottest color, brown, and recreate the jacket. I thought it would be even cuter, if I created an entire coord set with a mini skirt included.
The color is so out of my comfort zone. I’ve never made any type of clothing out of a brown color, except maybe the khaki jacket I made a few weeks ago. But nothing this brown! I swear, the color combo is giving me UPS vibes. LOL!

Brown Satin: New York Fashion District
Brown/ Mustard Plaid: Joann’s Fabric Store
Pattern: McCalls M7100

For jacket, I added 5-6 inches to the length of the jacket.
I gathered the bottom edge of the jacket and watched a bottom band. I did not place elastic inside the bottom band to create a more structured sleek finish.
No elastic was added to the wrist either. Again, this was done this way to create a more structured sleek finish.
For the the skirt, I shortened it to 15” in length and lined it with the same flannel.
Did you make a bomber jacket this year? If so, what color was yours? Or did you use a print? I’d love it know!
