Transitioning into Fall
Oh…Em…..Gee…. Can you believe that Fall is just around the corner? I can’t!
With Fall starting next month, JOANNs has filled their stores with the most beautiful Fall fabrics and when I set my eyes on this berry fabric, I couldn’t resist. I love the contrast between the dark background and the yellow flowers. I think it’s so striking. Don’t you agree?!
Anywho, I thought this fabric would be perfect to make a Summer/ Fall transition dress. I knew it had to be sleeveless so that I could wear it now while it’s still hot and later when the weather gets cooler, in which I’ll be able to layer under a jean jacket.
So, if you have ONE HOUR (yes I said it) ONE HOUR, then you can make this dress! It’s really easy and straight to the point. The crepe fabric from JOANNs is perfect for this style of dress because it’s light and flows in the breeze. Any who, let’s start on this dress!
Materials:
3 yards of Poly Crepe from Joann Stores
Butterick Pattern B6350
Coordinating Thread
Note: When creating my dress, I created View D without the lower ruffle. I originally wanted to create View D as it is pictured, but I felt that a shorter tent dress would look more fun and youthful so I omitted the ruffle.
