Designer Look for Less: Mother of Pearl
Happy Fall!
I fell in love with the process of making coats 2 years ago. It’s most definitely a process that calls for patience and a love for slow sewing. There are so many parts and details when it comes to coat making, so you don’t want to rush it.
This coat in particular….my oh my!!! This was a labor of love!!! It took me a couple of weeks to complete because of the many times I had to walk away from it. As hard as it was to create, I’m always super happy when I get to the finish line and it turns out better than I hoped.
INSPIRATION
I saw this coat on one of my favorite fashion bloggers and decided to look up the brand. This inspo comes from the brand, Mother of Pearl. I don’t think it’s no longer being sold but it’s absolutely stunning. It’s such an eye catching coat. I’ve never seen anything like it. The pearl button detail is a signature of the brand and it’s my favorite part of the coat.
Although I love everything about this coat and would have loved to purchase it as is, since it’s no longer being sold, I decided to make it myself in my own way. Thats what inspiration is right?! Make it your own!
