Lagerfeld was known for his love of black and white, his use of bold and graphic prints, voluminous silhouettes, his structured silhouettes, and ofcourse his penchant for oversized accessories, particularly sunglasses. 

With these key elements in mind, you can start designing your own Lagerfeld-inspired outfit. A simple black and white color scheme was a bit too simple for my taste, so I opted for a royal purple color. The Met is all about making bold statements., I added a taste of Lagerfeld by creating a voluminous silhouette.

When it comes to accessories, don't be afraid to go big. Oversized sunglasses, chunky jewelry, and statement bags are all key elements of Lagerfeld's style, and they can add a touch of drama to your outfit. I love good pair of oversized sunglasses, so I felt these green frames were a perfect match.

Of course, sewing your own Met Gala-worthy outfit is no small feat. It will require a significant investment of time, effort, and skill. But with careful planning and attention to detail, you can create something truly unique and memorable.
