Lavendar Tulle + Floral Crown

So this month is my anniversary for sewing my first article of clothing. Can you believe it?  April 2013 I decided that I was going to teach myself how to read a pattern and sew my daughter a dress for Easter.  It took a long gruesome 3 days.  I remember it being quite frustrating, but I made it through. So here is the dress I made last year for my daughter here:A year later, I have loads of experience and have decided to go all out for her with this year's hottest trend, the tulle skirt.  So I wanted a tulle skirt without the frumpy elastic waist that makes your waist line look bigger than it truly is.  I've even seen some where you can tie it in the back like an apron.  I wanted a clean, professional look. So one night I went to bed and had a dream about how I was going to make it and guess what? I woke up and started working.  I can't believe how great it came out.  The skirt is made with 4 layers of tulle, 2 layers of mesh, and lining.  I added a hidden zipper and closure in the back.  The waistband was made from a satin ribbon. She loved it!  She told me she felt like a fairy when I gave her the DIY Floral Crown that I made.  She said to me, "Mommy, where are my wings?" LOL! As for a tutorial, I will be creating a tutorial for Pretty Girls Sew June Sew Along so keep a look out for that because of course I need a couple tulle skirts for myself and I'm sure you all would love one as well. So here is the final look and Thank You for stopping by. Floral Crown: DIY Top: Target Tulle Skirt: DIY Tights: Target Shoes: Target
