Quilt Coat
Over the last few months I’ve seen so many incredible quilted coats popping up in the sewing community and I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to make one for myself!
Joann recently upped the game and introduced their own line of customizable fabric! With over 14,000 designs and endless opportunities to change colors, scales, ratios, and fabrics like cotton sateen, faux wool, or even silk charmeuse I’m so ready to finally have my favorite prints in all my favorite fabrics! I was browsing their site and found the most incredible patchwork-looking print and knew it would be perfect! After playing with the ratio a little bit I decided on the original design and went with a faux wool for my coat.
I was shocked at how quickly the fabric came in, especially for being custom-printed! The quality is incredible and the colors didn’t fade when I prewashed my fabric.
All in all, I love this bright and fun outerwear look so much that I’ll be sure to have fun mixing and matching with the garments in my wardrobe!
